60 years ago, Jacques Brel recorded three songs at the Temple de l’Oratoire du Louvre. He returns today to Paris for an exceptional concert during which Frédéric Lamantia will play about fifteen songs transcribed for the organ. France Brel, daughter of the singer, will be present, will talk about the genesis of the titles and will share anecdotes about her father.
A concert not to be missed, on the Cavaillé-Coll of the Temple du Saint-Esprit (5 rue Roquépine, Paris 8th, Métro Saint-Augustin, 8:30 p.m.), organized for the benefit of the restoration of the instrument.

The great organ of Luçon, whose history of creation in the mid-1850s was eventful, is perhaps the only great cathedral Cavaillé-Coll to remain somewhat in the shadows today. These study days, organized in collaboration with the association Jeux d’orgues en la Cathédrale de Luçon, will take stock of its past (including a very remarkable restoration/extension in 1968), its great artistic value and above all the prospects for a next big lift that is needed. The multiple options of this initiative reflect the evolution and practices of conservation and enhancement that have been observed in recent decades. Organists, organ builders, historians and musicologists from several countries will dialogue to better understand these issues, as well as those of the repertoire in full bloom at the time when César Franck, at the four keyboards of the masterpiece still in the workshop, poses the first stone of the unique and imperishable monument that will become the Six Pieces…
